Please bring any pictures, memorabilia, artifacts, stories,
and memories! Local historians will be on hand to discuss
Guyandotte history one on one. They will also be available
to scan, date & research old photographs and artifacts. Free
Refreshments Will Be Available!

Guyandotte Civil War Days 20th Anniversary Event November 2-8
The 20th Anniversary Guyandotte has kicked off this week with the lecture series at the Guyandotte Baptist Church.
There will be events each evening throughout the week leading up to Saturday & Sunday's Historic Battle re-enactment.

Guyandotte Civil War Days Seeks Cover Art Submissions
As part of the 20th anniversary of the Guyandotte Civil War Days “Thunder in the Village”, the group is asking any Cabell County junior or senior high school art student to submit works to be judged and used for the cover of the event program.
Those wishing to participate should submit a piece that is no larger than 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Information about the theme can be accessed by searching on the Web site of the West Virginia State archives. The deadline for submission is Aug. 30. Submissions also will be judged for possible use on this year’s t-shirt.
