Haunted & Historic
Guyandotte Walking Tours, in conjunction with Guyandotte
Civil War Days, will be hosting its annual walking tour of
historic downtown Guyandotte. Step back in time to November of 1861, as
our costumed tour guides share stories and histories of the pre-Civil
War families, homes, and
other spots of interest that played a pivotal role in the raid on, and
subsequent burning of Guyandotte.
When: Tours will be held
Friday and Saturday nights, November 7th and 8th, 2010.
Time:
Tours will begin at 6:30pm and leave every 30 minutes through
10:30pm. Tours will last approximately one hour.
Where: Tours will meet in the parking lot of the Guyandotte
Branch Library, located at 203 Richmond Street. Please sign in at the
table, located near the front entrance.
Additional Information
Tours are FREE and open to the public!
Round-trip for the tour is less than one mile in length on public
sidewalks, but comfortable walking shoes are preferable. The route is
also wheelchair accessible.
Flashlights and cameras are permitted, but please be respectful; many
homes on the tour are privately owned residences!
Please note- we will not be entering any of the homes.
